Kitten Meeow!

Today I made this kitten version of the Cat Meeow that I created recently. It fits snuggly in my hand, infact it could be a great stress buster if you don't mind strangling kittens! It's the first attempt so I'll probably make a one or two more variations until I'm happy with the design. Below are some of the embroidery yarns that I use on my toys, found in charity shops over the years - I love the band designs.

Rewind Wool

I knitted up this jumper using 'vintage' wool. Judging by the colour and the Woolworth's Winfield logo of yore, I guess this yarn dates back to the 1970's........?

Bethnal Green Finds

Today we went to my favourite haberdashery shop - Prick Your Finger, on the way I showed my other half a charity/vintage shop I visit every now and then called IKOSI, its on the Old Ford Rd (23) if you happen to be in Bethnal Green go and visit, it's chock-a-block with all sorts of good stuff. I got this fabulous old ball of wool and Rob got the T-shirt that's underneath it, a Vivienne Westwood number - it just shows, you never know what you might find!

Ikosi raises money to help people with Sickle Cell and Thalassasaemia - inherited blood disorders.

Whitechapel Wool

I went to Whitechapel market and found this old wool, I really like the type on the label, I think it's called Pro - Fill.
