Check It Out!
I love wool tweed fabrics and thought it would be quite funny to sew some cats and kittens out of houndstooth fabric!
I bought this oversized houndstooth check in Soho which I think
works quite well next to the traditional sized pattern that we are used to.
I'm hoping to find a medium sized houndstooth check soon so that I can add a different sized pattern to the the family above.

Kitten Call
Every now and then I get to find out where my little creations end up. Thank you Lucy G for sending me this photo of her new acquisition 'Pea Beep' bought from Elphicks last month.

Remains Of The Day
At the beginning of the year I went fabric shopping, something that I haven't done in yonks! It was a great morning, I went to Soho and went into the old shops that I used to go to and I discovered new shops too (new to me that is, ha ha!). I rekindled my love of finding new fabrics, it was quite thrilling and has inspired me to go on searching for delicious fabrics wherever I find myself. I ventured into the basement of a shop called Misan, which is full of end of roll pieces and remnants - there I found a lovely piece of fabric that was begging to be made into ginger toms the results of which you can see above......here's to fabrics old and new!!!!!!

I've had some lovely tweed fabric sitting on one of my shelves for yonks. I thought it would be purrfect for making tabby cats and kittens out of - here they are......

Kitten Meeow!
Today I made this kitten version of the Cat Meeow that I created recently. It fits snuggly in my hand, infact it could be a great stress buster if you don't mind strangling kittens! It's the first attempt so I'll probably make a one or two more variations until I'm happy with the design. Below are some of the embroidery yarns that I use on my toys, found in charity shops over the years - I love the band designs.
